The Purple Mouse
OpenseaThe Purple Mouse was a project begun in 2000 to capitalize upon the success of New Orleans artists George Rodrigue’s “Blue Dog” and Jim Tweedy’s “Red Cat.” It was never meant to be a serious project and the inside joke is that it was not an art project but a scam to make money. It never really took off as I myself did not take it seriously. Fast-forward to 2022 and now the NFT market has exploded, and with it, accusations that NFTs themselves are a scam. I figured now was the perfect time to resurrect the project and market it . . . as a scam! LOL.
The truth is that I have long suffered from C-PTSD and am on disability. My love of cartooning since I was a kid has not disappeared, but my real art is my music, and I am hoping to fund psychedelic therapy, so I can stop sabotaging my music career.
